I forwarded this email: Personally I found it humorous - for humors sake !
A Mexican family was considering putting their grandfather in a nursing
home.
All the Catholic facilities were completely full so they had to put him in
a Jewish home.
After a few weeks in the Jewish facility, they came to visit grandpa.
"How do you like it here?" asks the grandson
"It's wonderful! Everyone here is so courteous and respectful," says
grandpa.
"We're so happy for you. We were worried that this was the wrong place for
you.
You know, since you are a little different from everyone."
"Oh, no! Let me tell you about how wonderfully they treat the residents
here," grandpa says with a big smile.
"There's a musician here -- he's 85 years old. He hasn't played the violin
in 20 years and everyone still calls him 'Maestro'!"
"There is a judge in here -- he's 95 years old. He hasn't been on the
bench in 30 years and everyone still calls him 'Your Honor'!"
"And there's a physician here -- 90 years old. He hasn't been practicing
medicine for 25 years and everyone still calls him 'Doctor'!"
"And me, I haven't had sex for 35 years and they still call me "The
Fucking Mexican!"
And got this reply from a now worldly - highly educated - family member - whom I might is educated and worldly enough - smart enough to have not bred - OR - sent his genes to the gene pool yet:

I get joke email for about 10 people - I am oft offended !
I am glad to see that someone has the courage to say they are offended !
I hate it when others assume that their god is your god !
I grew up watching the war in Vietnam - (I personally knew many fighting and dying in that Police Action - It was not called a war until many years later - in your history books) - played out on the nightly news - I hate the support our troops - (Don't get me wrong - I pity the poor boy who has to fight the rich mans war - for employment)- they are protecting us - My question is: From what - The demon at the gas pump or who, what, when, where - and how ?
Don't even start me on the whole political joke turn around - Pro Bush - Now Anti Bush -
If I can give you a piece of advice - To try and explain - Your parents - My parents - And even Me and my generation:
I grew up in a time when there were very few people of different than me and my race in the school system - Your parents - even less.
Take for instance - Driving my mother to the doctor out in West Valley - The kids are walking home from school - and she asks me, "Where are all the American kids?"
I say to her, "We stold this land from the Mexicans and Indians - I guess they are in the process of stealing it back!"
I am sorry but I did find this quite humorous - for humors sake - only !
Heather has a Mexican boyfriend - who speaks very little English - and try as I might - It still bothers me - I hate the fact that I actually like the guy - but - hate the fact . . .
More advice - If I haven't pissed you off enough:
As you grow and age - Keep an open mind:
And know my humor is not your humor - your god is not my god - my friends are not your friends - and all wars are rich men playing chess with real - HUMAN - poor people !
